Prepare a repository

Create a public repository on your personal GitHub account. The signed-in account must own it. Private repositories and organization-owned repositories are not supported.

A minimal repository looks like this:

your-project/
  README.md
  lyte.catalog.json
  assets/
    preview.png
    library.png

Add the actual source of your theme or plugin and its license. For a fork, preserve the original project's attribution and license requirements.

The README becomes the catalog page text. lyte.catalog.json provides the card metadata and image paths. Both are read from the same commit as the rest of the imported revision.

On the submit page, Repository lists the public repositories of your account and Branch lists the branches of the selected repository, with the default branch first.
