YTEDocumentation

Frequently asked questions

Can I install LYTE from these docs?#

A public desktop release is not available yet. The website currently provides the catalog and submission system.

Does an approved listing mean the code has been audited?#

Catalog approval records a review decision for a particular revision. It is not a security audit or proof of compatibility with a desktop release.

Why is the catalog empty?#

Entries become public after review. There are no automatically generated example listings.

How do GitHub updates reach the catalog?#

After the first approval, LYTE periodically checks the listing's selected branch for new commits. The creator can select Update to check immediately. Valid updates from the same owner can publish without another routine review. A new owner or a reviewer-unlisted entry needs review again.

Do I need GitHub to browse?#

Public catalog pages do not require an account. Submitting and reviewing entries require GitHub sign-in.

Where can I ask for help?#

Join Discord. Include the page or action involved and the visible error message. Keep access tokens, secrets and session cookies out of your message.
