Updates and removal
Publish an update#
- Commit and push the new source, README, images or metadata to your repository.
- Open Submit and find the listing under Your submissions.
- LYTE checks the selected branch periodically. Select Update to check and publish immediately.
Keep the catalog ID and type unchanged. After the first approval, valid updates from the same owner publish without another routine review. LYTE checks the branch of every public listing every 15 minutes, so a new commit usually appears within about 15 minutes. Check changes before pushing them to a branch used by an approved listing.
If metadata or images fail validation, the last good version stays public. The submit page shows the update problem so you can correct it in the repository.
If the repository moves to a new owner, that owner's first version needs review. An entry unlisted by a reviewer also needs approval before it returns. A rejected or withdrawn pending revision leaves the previous public version unchanged.
Withdraw a pending revision#
Open the pending revision and select Withdraw. This removes it from the review queue. It does not delete the repository or replace the currently published version.
Remove a public listing#
Select Remove from catalog for your listing and confirm. The entry disappears from the public catalog; its source remains on GitHub.
A reviewer can also unlist an entry. Returning an unlisted entry to the catalog requires a newly approved submission.
Repository changes#
Repository ownership is checked again on import. A transfer does not give a previous owner permission to publish changes under the new owner's repository identity. If you rename the repository, automatic updates stop and the submit page shows the problem. Pick the repository again under Repository, select Import and publish the update.
